DOH reports 100 new COVID-19 cases, seven on Big Island

The state Department of Health today reported seven new cases of COVID-19 on the Big Island.

Fewer than 10 cases have been reported in Hilo over the last 14 days, according to data from the DOH. Twenty-six cases have been reported in Kona, and 17 cases have been reported in South Kona during the same time frame.

A total of 100 new coronavirus cases were reported statewide today.

According to data from the DOH, Hawaii County has a 0.8% test positivity rate, compared to a 2.5% positivity rate statewide.

As of Thursday, the state has administered 127,419 doses of COVID-19 vaccines, 6,988 more than the previous day.
