Philemon “Billy Boy” Aranaydo, 84, of Keaau died Dec. 17 at a care home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired union laborer and member of the Laborers’ International Union of North America Local 368 and U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. Limited seating. Jerry Hideo Fujie, 68, of Hilo died Dec. 14 at home. Born in Hilo, he was an estimator with Isemoto Contracting Co. Ltd. and member of the Hilo Meishion Mission. Private services held. Jerry Alan Glander, 82, of Keaau died Jan. 11 at home. Born in Dayton, Ohio, he was a retired San Bernardino County Building Inspector and a retired Director of Building and Safety Department in Grand Terrace. Private services at a later date. Walter “Wally” Pilor, 77, of Hawi died Dec. 3 at Kohala Hospital. Born in Laupahoehoe, he was a retired general superintendent for the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard Shop 38 Nuclear Submarine Repair Facility, fisherman, member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran.
