Sheri Suzanne Lawson, 44, of Kailua-Kona died Jan. 13 at home. Born in Findlay, Ohio, she was a deputy prosecuting attorney for the County of Hawaii Office of the Prosecuting Attorney and member of the Hawaii State Bar Association. Celebration of life at a later date. Survived by mother, Barbara K. Lawson of Keaau; sisters, Beth (Tim Reed) Lawson of Keaau and Carolyn (Tyler Chumney) Lawson of Ohio; brother, Nathan Lawson of Toledo, Ohio; four nieces and a nephew. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Douglas Calvin Ward Jr., 74, of Kailua-Kona died Dec. 26 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Van Nuys, Calif., he was a retired sales representative for HFM Food Service, former district manager for Trans-Pacific Restaurants and food and beverage manager for Kona Hilton Resort and Keauhou Beach Hotel. Services at a later date. Survived by wife, Paulette Ward of Kailua-Kona; son, Douglas Ward III of Keauhou; sister, Laura (Neil) McCann of Australia; brother, Calvin (Jean) Ward of California; six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; nieces and nephews.
