Achi Ahin, 89, of Pahoa died Dec. 24 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired State of Hawaii Dept. of Health vector control inspector, member of New Hope Puna and U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Visitation 5-6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14 at the Dodo Mortuary chapel. Funeral services at 6 p.m. Committal services 12 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15 at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery #2 pavilion.
