The state Department of Health today reported 322 new COVID-19 cases in Hawaii, the largest number reported in a single day since mid-August.
Of those, 18 are on the Big Island.
According to data from the DOH, Hawaii County now has a 2.2% positivity rate, compared to the statewide positivity rate of 3.5%.
Oahu has a positivity rate of 4.4%.
Over the past two weeks, there have been 16 cases reported in Hilo, 29 cases in Kona and 13 in the Waimea area.
The DOH also has added to its data portal information on the number of COVID-19 vaccines administered statewide.
That information will be updated each Wednesday at noon.
As of Jan. 2, 25,470 vaccines have been administered in Hawaii, including 2,526 on the Big Island.
