Arthur George Kahalepa‘akea Ahana, 78, of Waimea died Dec. 19 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired electrician and proprietor of Ahana Electric and member of the Annunciation Catholic Church. Survived by wife, Gwen Ahana of Waimea; son, Keoni (Roselee) Ahana of Waimea; daughter, Maliaokalani (Nathan) Ahana-Pascual of Waimea; brothers, Neyland (Naomi) Ahana of Kaneohe, Oahu, and Wildon Ahana of Honolulu; sisters, Novie Widemann and Giselle Ahana of Waimanalo, Oahu; sister in-law, Sharon Keliiholokai of Waimea; four grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Antonio “Tony” Lowane Amoguis, 86, of Kealakekua died Dec. 17 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born in Kohala, he was a dining room manager at the former Kona Inn and Kona Surf hotels, janitorial manager at the former Kona Surf hotel and courier for Clinical Labs. Services at a later date. Survived by wife, Margaret Amoguis; son, Anthony (Ramona) Amoguis; daughters, Bernadette (Billy Steven) Amoguis, Jasmine (George Gaspar) Amoguis and Charlene (Jeff) Pryor; brother-in-law, Harold (Trudi) Awa; sisters-in-law, Gladys Nacis, Pinake Minamishin and Ulu Llanes; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Shon C. Bowden III, 74, of Hilo died Oct. 22 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired farmer, commercial fisherman, restaurateur, merchant seaman and U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran. Reynald Mateo Navarro, 23, of Waimea died Nov. 30 at North Hawaii Community Hospital.
