Seven new COVID-19 cases were reported Tuesday on Hawaii Island, bringing the island’s total case count to 1,871.

The new cases were among 76 new cases reported statewide by the state Department of Health. The state’s total case count as of Tuesday was 21,103.

There were 56 new cases on Oahu while Maui County reported nine new cases.

Four residents were diagnosed outside the state.

Of the 285 coronavirus-related deaths confirmed and reported by the state to date, 221 were on Oahu, 17 were on Maui, 44 were on Hawaii Island and one on Kauai.

Three deaths were among residents outside the state.
