Police say a body discovered Saturday on a remote trail in the Kahaualea Natural Area Reserve in Volcano has been identified as 27-year-old Kaleo Malama Aaron Cachero of Puna.
Cachero’s family reported him missing on Dec. 3, but they hadn’t seen him since mid-September.
Preliminary findings of an autopsy performed Tuesday showed were no signs of foul play. The full autopsy report is pending toxicology results.
Anyone who saw Cachero in late November or early December is asked to call the police non-emergency number at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
