The 18th annual ‘Ukulele and Slack Key Guitar Festival will release two concerts at 7 p.m. today and Saturday.

Only Kahilu.TV subscribers will have access to the concerts. Kahilu.TV is a new online service being provided by the Kahilu Theatre in Waimea. Subscribers enjoy a wide variety of performances, from Hawaiian artists to jazz, classical, dance, educational and visual art.

After their initial release, the festival concerts will be available to subscribers for up to a year, available to watch them at a time convenient for them.

The artists scheduled to appear in the festival are Blayne Asing, Nathan Aweau, Charles Brotman, Benny Chong, John Cruz, Raiatea Helm, Ledward Kaapana, Mike Kaawa, Kainani, John Keawe, Sonny Lim, Makana, Kimie Miner, Brittni Paiva, Jeff Peterson, Jake Shimabukuro and Mark Yamanaka.

Coming soon to Kahilu.TV will be holiday shows with the Kona Harp Ensemble, a wildly imaginative “A Christmas Carol” performed by the critically acclaimed Manual Cinema featuring hundreds of paper puppets, miniatures, silhouettes and a live original score, and more seasonal fun. In the new year, the theater’s 40th season gets into full swing with Kalani Peʻa, Raiatea Helm, Jake Shimabukuro and about 15 more of your favorite artists.
