Eleanor Silva Sterling, 100, of Beaverton, Ore. died Nov. 3 in Beaverton, Ore. Born in Honolulu, she was a nurse and professor of nursing at the University of Hawaii Manoa and Hilo campuses and member and volunteer with the American Nurses Association, American Association of Retired Persons, Red Cross, and the Catholic Church. Services held. Inurnment in Pahoa at a later date. Survived by her daughter, Sharon Azevedo of Beaverton, Ore.; brothers, Donald Silva and Barney Silva of Hawaii; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; a niece and nephew.
