14 new COVID-19 cases reported on Big Island

Hawaii County Civil Defense has reported 15 new COVID-19 cases today on the Big Island.

As of today, 12 individuals are hospitalized and the number of COVID-related deaths on the island remains at 48.

Free drive-through COVID-19 testing will be available 9 a.m.-noon Friday and Monday at Keauhou Shopping Center in Kailua-Kona; and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium in Hilo and the West Hawaii Civic Center in Kona.

No insurance is necessary to be tested but individuals should bring their insurance card if they have one. There is no copay for those being tested.

Individuals should wear a face covering at all times and observe social distancing.
