DOH reports 21 new Big Island COVID-19 cases

The Department of Health reports today 21 new cases of COVID-19 on the Big Island.

That brings the overall Hawaii County case numbers to 1,377.

There are currently 11 individuals hospitalized with coronavirus-related illness on the Big Island, and 48 deaths have been reported, to date.

There is free, public COVID-19 testing scheduled Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the West Hawaii Civic Center in Kona. The testing is free without patient co-pay, but insured individuals being tested are asked to bring their insurance cards with them.

There is no testing in Hilo on Saturday, contrary to a previous report.
