Millicent “Penny” Napua Kao‘o Aludino, 67, of Hawi died Oct. 23 at home. Born in Kohala, she was the owner and cook of the former Sonny’s Place and member of Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Drive-through visitation only 12-3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at the Aludino residence, 55-417 Lower Hawi Road. Additional visitation 5-7 p.m. at the Saragosa residence, 55-1113 Aina U‘i Road, Hawi. Rosary at 5 p.m. Visitation again 8-10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Urn committal to follow at Hawi Catholic Cemetery. Seating limited. Face masks and social distancing required. Casual attire. Michael Joseph Echavez, 82, of Paauilo died Oct. 16 at Hale Ho‘ola Hamakua. Born in Paauilo, he was a retired equipment operator for Hamakua Sugar Co. and security guard for Securitas.
