Training at Pohakuloa Training Area remains moderate in November and involves several hundred soldiers and Marines, home-based on Oahu, the U.S. Army said Monday.
Training will focus on aviation gunnery, aviation training using unmanned aerial systems, as well as logistical and medical training.
Big Island residents can expect to see or hear military aircraft supporting the ongoing training through Friday, when the larger units redeploy to Oahu.
The remainder of the month will involve smaller units and special skills training.
Convoys are scheduled from 8-11 a.m. today, Wednesday and Sunday, departing from PTA to Kawaihae.
