Free COVID-19 testing offered every Wednesday

More than 100 cars lined up for COVID-19 testing during free testing at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium in Hilo on Wednesday.

S&G Labs will be offering free testing every Wednesday at the civic from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. for the foreseeable future, according to the county’s website.

Big Island Pain Center also is offering testing with S&G Labs every Monday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Puna Community Medical Center offers testing Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Hamakua Health Center has testing available to patients anytime after a phone screening.

On Tuesday, the state Department of Health reported three new COVID-19 cases on the Big Island, bringing Hawaii Island’s total case number to 1,233.
