DOH reports 78 new COVID-19 cases, 14 deaths

The state Department of Health has reported 78 new COVID-19 cases statewide, bringing the total number of cases in Hawaii since the start of the pandemic to 14,233.

Nine cases were reported today on the Big Island, 65 on Oahu and four in Maui County.

The DOH also reported 14 COVID-related deaths, bringing the official statewide death toll to 203.

Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency said the number of deaths reported on the Big Island remains at 40, but several of those deaths have not been confirmed by the DOH.
