The Department of Health said that, as of noon Tuesday, there are 101 new cases of COVID-19 reported statewide and 10 additional reported coronavirus-related deaths.
The Life Care Center of Hilo reported another death at the nursing facility, the fourth there and the 38th reported for Hawaii Island.
As of 8 p.m. Tuesday, Life Care Cener reported 52 resident COVID-19 cases: 43 active resident cases at the facility, with four receiving proactive treatment at Hilo Medical Center.
Two residents have been discharged.
The facility is also reporting 16 cases among its employees, with nine active and seven associates fully recovered.
That brings the statewide total of COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began to 13,674, as two Oahu cases were removed from the count, and the officially reported statewide death toll is now 183.
Hawaii County reports 18 new cases, bringing the Big Island’s total case number to 992.
One new case was reported in Maui County, with its total now at 409 cases.
Of the new cases, 80 were in the City and County of Honolulu, bringing Oahu’s case total to 12,176.
Kauai County didn’t reported any new cases, and its case totals remains at 59.
Hawaii County Civil Defense said this morning there are currently 14 people hospitalized on Hawaii Island with coronavirus-related illness, and so far, 37 coronavirus-related deaths have occurred on the Big Island.
There have been 38 cases of Hawaii residents reportedly diagnosed with COVID-19 while out of state.
Statewide, 961 cases have required hospitalization, and 10,883 individuals have been released from isolation as “recovered.”
Free drive-up public coronavirus testing is scheduled for 3-6 p.m. today at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium parking lot in Hilo. Please enter via Kuawa Street.
Friday, there will be free drive-up testing from 9 a.m.-noon at Pahoa District Park.
Free drive-up testing will also be offered between 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Kahuku Park in Ocean View, Ka‘u.
Those who have health insurance are asked to bring their insurance cards to the testing sites. There will be no co-pay required for those being tested.
