DOH reports 16 new Big Island COVID-19 cases

The state Department of Health today has reported 16 new COVID-19 cases on Hawaii Island, bringing the total number of Big Island cases to 752 since the start of the pandemic.

Statewide, the DOH reported 87 new cases today, of which 70 are on Oahu and one is a resident diagnosed outside the state.

As a result of updated information, one case from Honolulu was removed from the counts.

Three additional deaths also have been reported, bringing the death toll statewide to 142. No further information about the deaths were immediately available.
