No new Big Island COVID-19 cases reported Monday

The state Department of Health reported 90 new cases of COVID-19 today, bringing the statewide tally to 12,203.

All of the cases reported today are on Oahu.

According to numbers provided by the DOH, three cases from Honolulu were removed from the counts as the result of updated information.

Hawaii County has seen a total of 700 cases since the start of the pandemic.

As of Sunday, 15 COVID-positive patients were hospitalized at Hilo Medical Center, including four in the hospital’s intensive care unit, 10 in its COVID unit and one in its Extended Care Facility.
