DOH reports 112 new COVID-19 cases statewide; 3 additional Oahu deaths

The state Department of Health reported 112 new COVID-19 cases today, with 97 cases on Oahu, 14 on Hawaii Island and one in Kauai County.

That brings the total number of cases statewide to 11,891.

There were also three new deaths reported, all on Oahu.

The new cases bring Hawaii County’s total since the pandemic began to 691.

The City and County of Honolulu have reported 10,724 cases, Maui County 388 and Kauai County 58, with 30 cases of Hawaii residents diagnosed outside the state.

The DOH’s death toll of 127 doesn’t include several from the veterans home due to their verification requirements.

According to DOH, 787 cases required hospitalization, while 5,397 individuals have been released from isolation as “recovered.”
