Sharla Sare received Toastmasters highest award, The Distinguished Toastmaster award.

This award represents the highest level of educational achievement in Toastmasters. She joined Hilo Toastmasters in 2012 , and since then Sare has served as club vice president of education as well as Area 12 director and club mentor for Kona Toastmasters.

“Sharla shines as a leader in promoting the value of the Toastmasters organization, encouraging prospective members to join a Big Island club.” said Hilo Toastmasters President Keith Kuramoto.

Toastmasters International is a worldwide nonprofit educational organization that empowers individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. Headquartered in Englewood, Colo., the organization’s membership exceeds 358,000 in more than 16,800 clubs in 143 countries.
