Wayne Gilbert De Motta, 65, of Hilo died Sept. 7 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired Hawaii County paramedic, formerly worked at Hilo Coast Processing Co., was a member of Keaukaha Canoe Club and Hawaii Firefighters Association, earned a black belt from Honomu Judo Club and was a fisherman and hunter.
