The state Department of Health has reported 19 new COVID-19 cases on the Big Island today, bringing the cumulative island total to 383.

According to DoH data, there were 181 new confirmed cases throughout the state today, with the state total rising to 8,653. 157 of those new cases were on Oahu, whose cumulative case total is 7,848.

Maui had nine new cases today, with a total of 340, while Kauai’s total remains at 57, having had no new cases today.

According to the DoH, there were four additional COVID-19 fatalities, bringing the total death toll to 74. The Department did not have details on the four deaths.

Hawaii County will continue its free public COVID-19 testing program tomorrow with drive-through testing available at Pahoa Regional Park between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. While insurance will not be necessary to be tested, individuals with insurance are advised to bring their insurance cards to the test site.
