Darren Reuben Alivado, 52, of Keaau died Aug. 4 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a roofer for Kohala Roofing, diver and hunter. Celebration of life at a later date. Robert “Bob” Douglas Brown, 77, of Captain Cook died Aug. 5 at home. Born in Dunsmuir, Calif., he was a retired vice president and software developer for Bancware. Private services at a later date. Jonathan Ed Hisaichi Hara, 34, of Hilo died July 18 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a county paramedic and firefighter, graduate of Washington State University, Hilo High School class of 2004 alumnus, Eagle Scout of Hilo Hongwanji Troop 23, black belt from Hilo Hongwanji Judo Club, fisherman, mountain biker, auto enthusiast, gardener and member of the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin, Hawaii Firefighters Association, East Hawaii Hiroshima Kenjin Kai and Hui Okinawa.
