Mary Katherine Hyslop, 76, of Keaau died June 15 at home. Born in Flint, Mich., she was a director of numerous local nonprofits including Big Island Aids Project and Neighborhood Place of Puna and a member of Rotary. A Celebration of life at a later date. Survived by a son; a sister; three brothers; nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Jose, 92, of Holualoa died Aug. 7 Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kealakekua, she was a housewife and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Private services. Survived by husband, Tony Jose of Holualoa; son, Dennis (Sharon) Jose of Wailua, Kauai; daughter, Dorothy (Michael) Yeaman of Sacramento, Calif.; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Roger Don Lidia, 62, of Hilo died Aug. 8 at Legacy Hilo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Midland, Texas, he was an electric technician and program coordinator for the University of Hawaii at Hilo and self-employed system engineer. Private services held. No phone calls. The late Dexter Yun Kong Lee is survived by, among others, Aunt Frieda Lee. Her name was submitted misspelled for an obituary published Thursday.
