The state Department of Health reports 173 new COVID-19 cases today, all on Oahu.

That brings the count in the City and County of Honolulu to 2,394 cases.

Maui County remains at 177 cases, Hawaii Island at 122 cases and Kauai County at 47 cases.

Hawaii residents diagnosed outside Hawaii number 23.

According to DOH, 214 cases required hospitalization and 27 individuals have died of coronavirus-related causes.

Those released from isolation as recovered number 1,402, according to DOH.

The total number of tests administered in Hawaii is 168,422, and 4.8% of tests performed in the past seven days have returned positive results.
