Born in Honolulu, she was manager and part owner of KAHU Radio Station, an independent associate for LegalShield, Kumu Hula for Ke ‘Opio o Puna, stewardess for Aloha Airlines, professional hula dancer and model, won the title of Miss Tourism Hawaii and placed second runner-up in the 1970 Miss Asia Quest contest in the Philippines, was an AARP community support liaison and a tax preparer. Born in Hilo, he was a retired transporter and X-ray technician with the Hilo Medical Center, a former warehouse worker at Sears, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Keaukaha Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he was active in the Family History Center. Born and raised in Hilo, he worked for the Mauna Kea Sugar Company and was a member of the Big Island Portuguese Culture Club and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
