17 new coronavirus cases reported in Hawaii, one additional death

The state Department of Health reports 17 new cases of COVID-19 statewide as of noon today. That brings the statewide total of cases to 1,435.

In addition, there is another coronavirus-related death, bringing the statewide death toll from coronavirus-related cases to 25.

All the new cases are on Oahu.

The total case number in the City and County of Honolulu has 1,117 cases, as cases that had been pending county of origin have also been found to be Oahu cases.

Maui County has the second-highest case total, with 139 cases.

Hawaii County has 114 reported cases, with seven active cases.

Kauai County’s case total remains at 43.

Twenty-two cases, overall, have been of Hawaii residents diagnosed while out of state.

So far, 154 of Hawaii’s cases have required hospitalization.

A total of 1,084 individuals have been released from isolation as recovered, according to DOH.
