Arlene Lou Baclig Horne, 84, of Odessa, Texas, died July 7 at Odessa Regional Hospital. Born in Hilo, she was a retired medical transcribing specialist for Medical Center Hospital in Odessa and Midland (Texas) Memorial Hospital, founding member of the Disciples of Grace Church in Odessa, 1953 graduate of Hilo High School and pianist. She attended University of Hawaii at Hilo for two years before transferring to College of the Pacific in California, where she majored in music, minored in business management and was a member of the Zeta Phi Sorority.
