Arlene Lou Baclig Horne, 84, of Odessa, Texas, died July 7 at Odessa Regional Hospital. Born in Hilo, she was a retired medical transcribing specialist for Medical Center Hospital in Odessa and Midland (Texas) Memorial Hospital, founding member of the Disciples of Grace Church in Odessa, 1953 graduate of Hilo High School and pianist. She attended University of Hawaii at Hilo for two years before transferring to College of the Pacific in California, where she majored in music, minored in business management and was a member of the Zeta Phi Sorority. Survived by son, Darrell of Odessa; daughters, Robin of Odessa, Angela of Midland and Leilani Villaverde of Dallas; sister, Carol Bissen of Hilo; brothers, Andres (Rose Marie) Baclig Jr. of Hilo, and the Very Rev. Paul Keohuloa, 83, of Naalehu died March 13 at Ka‘u Hospital. Born in Hookena, he was a retired rancher in Naalehu and worked for McCandless and Daleico Ranch. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service/celebration of Life at 10:30 a.m. Face Masks and socia distancing required. Satoshi Ota, 83, of Hilo died April 7 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired independent sugar cane planter, landscaper and member of Piihonua Kumiai. Memorial services at a later date. The Rev. Ofa Kivava‘u Pauta, 74, of Hilo died June 29 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Tonga, he was a retired self-employed landscaper and retired minister of Free Church of Tonga. Anastacia Viado Tarona, 97, of Hilo died July 16 at home. Born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a retired flower picker for plant nursery and member of New Hope Filipino Ministry. Visitation 5-6 p.m. Sunday (July 26) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Service at 6 p.m. All-night vigil 8 p.m. at the home. Face masks and social distancing required Burial at 10 a.m. Monday (July 27) at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima section.
