The state Department of Health reports 28 new cases of COVID-19 statewide as of noon today, down from yesterday’s case total of 36.

The statewide total of cases is now 1,158.

Of those new cases, 25 are in the City and County of Honolulu, bringing the Oahu total of cases to 867.

One of the remaining three cases is on the Big Island, which now has a total of 98 cases.

There is one more case on Maui, whose total is now at 131.

Another Hawaii resident was diagnosed while out of state, bringing the total of out-of-state diagnoses of Hawaii residents to 19.

There are no new cases on Kauai, where the total remains at 43.

So far, 125 of Hawaii’s cases have required hospitalization, and there have been 19 deaths.

A total of 847 individuals have been released from isolation as recovered, according to DOH.
