DOH: 18 new COVID-19 cases today, no new cases on Big Island

The state Department of Health reported 18 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing the statewide total to 917, as one Oahu case was removed from the count as a result of updated information.

The new cases today include 15 on Oahu, one each on Maui and Kauai and one pending island of residency.

Of the cases statewide, 652 are in the City and County of Honolulu, 123 in Maui County, 87 in Hawaii County, 38 in Kauai County.

There are currently three active cases on Hawaii Island.

Sixteen cases are residents diagnosed outside of Hawaii.

The statewide death toll from coronavirus-related illness is 18, all on Oahu or Maui.

The number of statewide cases requiring hospitalization is 113.

There have been 736 cases statewide that have been released from isolation as recovered, according to DOH.
