The state Department of Health reported 17 new COVID-19 cases today, all but three on Oahu, bringing the statewide case total to 866.

The City and County of Honolulu now has 608 reported cases.

One case from the statewide total was removed because of updated information. Two of the new cases today were diagnosed out of state.

Hawaii County’s total is at 86 cases with 84 released from isolation as recovered. Two Big Island cases required hospitalization.

Maui County has 122 reported cases, while Kauai County, which had one new case Friday, is now at 34.

Hawaii’s statewide case total includes 16 residents diagnosed outside the state.

The statewide death toll from coronavirus-related illness remains at 17, with 11 on Oahu and six on Maui.

The number of statewide cases requiring hospitalization is 109.

There have been 705 cases statewide that have been released from isolation as recovered, according to DOH.
