Tsuneo Akiyama, 86, of Hilo died June 5 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Puunene, Maui, he was the retired owner of the former Men’s Shop, a U.S. Army veteran and member and past-president of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Hawaii East Hawaii Hiroshima Kenjinkai, 2/10 Golf Club and numerous other organizations. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by wife, Charlotte Akiyama of Hilo; sons, Keith (Raenelle) Akiyama and Kevin (Elma) Akiyama of Hilo; sisters, Patsy (Yasusaburo “Sab”) Takushi of Kahului, Maui, Claire (Harold “Pete”) Tonai of Pearl City, Oahu and Shigeko Akiyama of Kahului; five grandchildren; nephews, nieces and cousins. Jason “J” Kawika Feliciano, 41, of Kapaau died May 24, 2020 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a limousine driver, loss prevention associate, a member of numerous local bands, golfer and volunteer at Kohala Golf Park, and assisted his late father, a former funeral director for Dodo Mortuary. Celebration of life at a later date. Survived by fiancée, Chontel Eugenio; hanai stepsons, Jhace, Haedyn and Hezedyn; mother, Bea Feliciano; brother, Keone Feliciano; sister-in-law, Kelly Gray; a nieceand three nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Vicente Lumabao Felipe, 67, of Pepeekeo died June 10 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Tangib, Laoag, Philippines, he was a retired laborer for Isemoto Contracting Co. and member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou. Private service. Burial 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima section. Face masks and social-distancing required. Survived by wife, Amading Calaustro Vinoya Estantino of Pepeekeo; daughters, Elsa (Myles) DeCoito of Hilo and Jamie (Adam) Veloria of Ainaloa; son, Erik (Vida) Felipe of Honolulu; siblings, Nestor (Tessie) Felipe and George (Jebilyne) Felipe of Honolulu, Candy Ragsac of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Judith Raquel Hooper, 90, died May 20 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. She was born in San Clemente, Jalisco, Mexico. Private services. Timothy “Tim” Ivan Max, 65, of Waimea died June 10 at home. Marvin Lee Swigart, 71, of Bakersfiled, Calif., formerly of Hilo, died June 5 at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. Born in Los Angeles, he was a U.S. Army Vietnam War-era veteran and loved tennis, softball, hunting, fishing, and running. Funeral services 10 a.m. Friday, June 26 at Bakersfield National Cemetery. Survived by children, Marnie Clark, Rory Koelzer, Marvin Swigart Jr. and Dorian Swigart; former wife and mother of children, Jody Deal Ashby.
