Police arrested a 71-year-old Waimea man for allegedly breaking into a business establishment on Kawaihae Road early Monday morning and stealing liquor.

Alan Hall is charged with burglary and violating the state’s stay-at-home order.

Officers responding to a 4:38 a.m. alarm found the rear window damaged and removed and the rear exit door open, as well as numerous bottles of alcoholic beverages missing.

Surveillance video was reviewed and Hall was identified as the suspect. He was later taken into custody.

Hall’s bail was set at $5,500 and his initial appearance is set for this morning in Kona District Court.
