Albert Mamuad Duldulao Sr., 80, of Hilo died March 5 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for the former Hamakua Sugar Co. Private services held. Survived by wife, Carina Duldulao of Hilo; children, Albert Duldulao Jr. and Emma Duldulao of Hilo, Clifford (Ralph) Malani of Oahu, Joy (Kane) Palazzotto of Maui and Hollie (Aaron) Jones of California; brother, Rudolfo (Catalina) Duldulao of Hawaiian Acres; two grandchildren. Robert Manabu Fujino, 89, of Kealakekua died May 23 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kealakekua, he was a retired produce manager for Sack N Save and former baker for Standard Bakery. Survived by wife, Eloise Fujino of Kealakekua; son, Wendell (Bernadine) Fujino of Kealakekua; brothers, Hiroshi Fujino of Keauhou, Gilbert (Jean) Fujino of Kealakekua and Howard (Sanora) Fujino of Honolulu; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Sarah Elizabeth Hodgins, 100, of Kailua-Kona died Feb. 12 at Larry’s Care Home. Born in Hopkins, Mo., she was a housewife and member of Daughters of Hawaii Calabash Cousins, Kona Historical Society and Christ Church Episcopal. Services at a later date. June Tomiko Ishida, 93, of Hilo died May 20 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Fukuoka, Japan, she was a retired cashier for Safeway and member of Tenrikyo Kaka‘ako Church. Private services held. Survived by sons, Reginald (Dyanne) Ishida of Colorado, David Ishida of Honolulu, Howard Ishida of Hilo and Kenneth (Marcia) Ishida of Honolulu; grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Marie Isabell Louis Payne, 92, of Volcano and formerly of Kailua, Oahu, died May 20 at home. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired secretary for U.S. Marine Corps Air Station in Kaneohe, Oahu, member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Kailua, Kailua Elks Club and singer with “Sweet Adelines” on Oahu. Services in Kailua, Oahu, at a later date. Survived by sons, Tommy (Brenda) Carson of Volcano, John (Carol) Carson of Oahu and Scott (Caroline) Carson of Kona; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Leon Cabacongan Penera, 87, of Pahala died March 26 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired knapsack sprayer for the former Ka‘u Sugar Co. and member of Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Penera of Pahala; daughters, Francisca (Mariano) delos Santos of Pahala and Shirley L. Penera of Honolulu; son, Freddie (Estrella) Penera of Ewa Beach, Oahu; brothers, Anastacio (Emeliana) Erece of the Philippines and Himy (Florentina) Penera of Pahala; sisters, Laurdis (Bonifacio) Erece of Pahala, Ramona (Domingo) Tadeo and Lillia (Agapito) Villahermosa of the Philippines and Laureana (Manuel) Villahermosa of Chicago; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Rudolph “Rudy” Kenneth Silva Jr., 65, of Hilo died April 23 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired auditor for King Kamehameha Hotel, front desk clerk and bartender for the former Naniloa Hotel, musician and member of Halau O Ka Ua Kani Lehua, member of the Merrie Monarch committee and other Hawaiian organizations. Inurnment 9 a.m. Monday, June 8, at Homelani Memorial Park, Japanese Garden. Masks and umbrellas. Flowers and lei welcome. Survived by, brother, Dwayne Kalani Silva; hanai daughters, Ryenne K.
