Steven Durrant, 76, of Keaau died April 29 at home. Born in London, he was a master carpenter and former member of Puna Canoe Club and Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Memorial/celebration of life at a later date. Survived by wife, Frances Hulbert-Durrant of Keaau; son, Steven Paul (Mariam) Durrant of England; sisters, Yvonne Durant of England and Jennifer Coburn of Canada; nieces, a nephew and grandnephew, cousins. Doris “Nikki” Ho, 75, of North Las Vegas, Nev., died Nov. 17. Born in Hilo, she was a retired clerk for the Honolulu City Council and 1961 Hilo High School alumna. Survived by daughters, Richelle (Marwin) Sabado of Vancouver, Wash., Dawn (Timothy) Shiinoki-Ho of Kaneohe, Oahu, and Darcie (Aryn) Nakaoka of Honolulu; siblings, Ellen (David) Nakamura and Ronald Nakahara of Hilo; six grandchildren.

Michie “Grandma Alice” Nishimoto, 97, of Hilo died April 30. Born in Papaikou, she was retired from Hilo Medical Center, was a volunteer foster grandparent at Waiakea Elementary School and member of Pomaikai Senior Center and Hakalau Jodo Mission/Fujinkai. Private services held. Survived by son, William (Dee) Choy Hee of Laupahoehoe; daughter, Coleen (Wayne) Howard of Hilo; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; cousins. Arrangements by Ballard Family Mortuary Hilo.

Linda Norton Savell, 79, of Captain Cook died May 1 at home. Born in Detroit, she was a potter, clay sculptor, former nurse and medical office manager. Private services held. No flowers. Memorial donations to Hospice of Kona, P.O. Box 4130, Kailua-Kona, HI 96745. Survived by husband, Charles Savell of Captain Cook; son, Douglas (Stephanie) Savell of Illinois; sister, Ann (David) White of Michigan; a granddaughter and nephew. Arrangements by Cremation Services of West Hawaii.
