Police are seeking the public’s assistance with finding a missing 14-year-old Hilo girl.
Shayla Smith-Akiona was last seen about 1 p.m. April 7 in the Puainako area of Kinoole Street.
She’s described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 110 pounds, with long black hair, light complexion and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a gray hoodie, black T-shirt with “Nike Air” printed in pink and a black-and-purple backpack.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the police nonemergency line at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
