Don’t leave it to Ige

So David Ige, the man who didn’t have the balls to kick the Thirty Meter Telescope protesters off Maunakea, is now the person who is going to decide when to make the difficult decision and allow small business owners the ability to begin making a living again.

We were told the self-employed were going to be able to receive unemployment benefits during this current crisis, but so far not here in Hawaii.

The application process is nearly impossible as it nonfunctional most of the time. Then after waiting weeks we are told our application was “denied” without an explanation.

Many small business owners have seen their income go to zero, and many will never be able to reopen. Yet Gov. Ige has decided to prohibit the ability to earn a living another four weeks.

Here on the Big Island, the severity of the COVID-19 crisis is as close to nil as can be expected. It will never be zero again, so what is the brave Gov. Ige waiting for? Most likely he’s waiting for someone else to make the decision for him.

Would that someone please step forward and make the difficult decision to save these business owners from complete ruin and allow them to begin making a living again.

Flower deliveries

What’s up, Gov. Ige? Let the florists do business. They had only planned to do deliveries.

What, Ige? You’re not gonna let the sun shine in on Mother’s Day, too?

The only way people have been able to show their distant aloha has been through sweet, kind and thoughtful gestures. But, then again, you wouldn’t know anything about that now, would you?

No problem. Locals will just take their money on-line and off-island to shower their mamas with gifts of love.

So which is it, Ige? Are you trying to find an excuse to not have to buy the little missus some flowers on her special day? Perhaps you’re upset because a couple of the mayors have decided to take the reigns away from you without your permission or authorization, so now your ego is bruised?

Either way, tell me how a beautiful bouquet of flowers is going to hurt anyone who is suffering right now?

Again, this stems from that sick, dark and overly egotistical mind of yours. Go get some help, man! You’ve definitely got some serious issues and insecurities to work on.
