Police are seeking leads on a hit-and-run collision in lower Puna that killed a pedestrian in January. The collision, which occurred in the late night hours of Jan. 27 near the corner of Highway 137 and the Pahoa-Kalapana Road, killed 45-year-old Benito Charles Segura III of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
“Someone knows something. We are asking for the public’s help. We want to find closure for the victim and their family,” said Officer Jared Cabatu of the Hilo Traffic Enforcement Unit.
