DOH reports 442 statewide COVID-19 cases, 7 new

The state Department of Health reports that as of noon today, there are 442 total cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Hawaii, including seven new cases.

Of those cases, 334 are in the City and County of Honolulu, 57 in Maui County and 18 in Kauai County.

DOH is reporting 28 cases on Hawaii County, two more than on Wednesday, and one more than reported this morning by Hawaii County.

Identification by county is pending in three cases, according to DOH.

There have been two residents diagnosed outside the state.

Of the statewide cases, 42 have required hospitalization and six cases have resulted in death, DOH says, four on Oahu and two on Maui.

According to DOH, 251 of those diagnosed as COVID-19 positive have been released from isolation.

So far, none of the Big Island cases have required hospitalization.
