Born in Hilo, he was a retired customer service agent for the former Aloha Airlines, U.S. Army veteran and member of Puueo Poi and Anuenue Athletic clubs, Hilo Badminton Club, Hawaiian Homes Panaewa Community Association and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Keaukaha Ward. Survived by wife, Lynda Anne Aina of Hilo; sons, Rayland Aina of Waimea, Henry (Maria) Aina Jr. and August (Doreen) Aina of Hilo; daughter, Sandee (John) Aina-Meade of Utah; sister, Myra (George) Aina-Paul of Hilo; adopted brother, Edward Aina of Hilo; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
