Russell Lyman Gauslin, 95, of Kailua-Kona died Feb. 27 at home. Born in Taft, Calif., he was a retired area manager for a natural gas company, U.S. Navy World War II veteran, member of Lifewater and Livingstones Pine Trees churches and served on staff of Family Discipleship Training School at University of the Nations. Celebration of life 10:30 a.m. Saturday (March 7) at University of the Nations in Kailua-Kona. Private graveside service with military honors at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. Survived by son, Timothy (Kwi Yon) Gauslin of Slidell, La.; daughter, Dawn Gauslin of Kailua-Kona; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Gordon Takashi Harai, 66, of Kealakekua died Feb. 10 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in North Kona, he was a retail manager for Lowes, Safeway, HPM and Walmart and member of Life Water Church. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday, March 28, at Life Water Church. Memorial service at 10 a.m. Aloha attire; flowers welcome. Memorial donations to Life Water Church. Survived by wife, Heather Harai of Kealakekua; stepson, John Rosenboom of Illinois; stepdaughters, Jessica Rosenboom, Jenny Rosenboom and Josie Rosenboom of Illinois; mother, Sachiko Harai of Kealakekua; sisters, Darlene Kirihara of Kealakekua and Marilyn (Steven) Geffs of California; nieces, nephews and cousins. Hisako Ikeda, 97, of Keaau, died Feb. 22 at home. Born in Olaa, she was retired from the former Hilo Produce Co.,, worked for the former Food Fair Supermarket and was a member of Honomu Henjoji Mission. Visitation 4-5 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 5 p.m. Casual attire. Survived by daughter, Shirley (Calvin) Nakashima of Keaau; sister, Harue Alexander of Kahului, Maui; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Peter Rebuldela, 81, of Pepeekeo died Feb.24 at Straub Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Pepeekeo, he was retired from the former Hilo Coast Processing Co. and a member of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou, and avid follower of youth and high school basketball and baseball. Services at a later date. Survived by wife, Myrle Lopes Rebuldela of Pepeekeo; daughters, Geomel (Alan) Ragual of Honomu and Myrlin (Paul) Kama of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; brothers, Jaime Rebuldela of Pearl City, Oahu, Juan Rebuldela of Hilo and Alfred Rebuldela of Papaikou; sisters, Leonila Stone of Papaikou, Leonora Dacayanan of Pepeekeo and Norma (Tony) Acain of Kailua; Oahu; four grandchildren and a great-grandson; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Hildi J. Vieira, 79, of Kailua-Kona died Feb. 24 at home. Born in Oswego, N.Y., she was a public school teacher and member of American Association of University Women, Kona Orchid Society, Kona Hospital Auxiliary and Christ Church Episcopal, and Hospice of Kona volunteer. Services in July. Survived by daughter, Sherry (Charles Lee) Vieira of Waimea; son, Roland (Joni Noges) Vieira of Seattle; sisters, Edwina Yamura of Kohala, Sherry (Zak) Owczarzak, and Carole (Michael) Morgan of Las Vegas; brothers, Andrew (Joy) Jensvold of Vermont, Erik (Shirley) Jensvold of Florida and Chris (Betsy) Jensvold of Vermont; seven grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
