Augustina Ebanez, 82, of Hilo died Jan. 25, 2020. Born on Lanai, she was a retired educational assistant at Waiakea High School. Visitation 8:30-10 a.m. Friday, March 6, at Ballard Family Mortuary. Prayer service 10 a.m. Urn burial noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. Survived by daughters, Myra (Dennis) Imanaka of Hilo and Patrice (Jacinth) Carvalho of Hawaiian Paradise Park; sons, James (Julie) Ebanez of Ainaloa and Emilio Ebanez Jr. of Hilo; brother, Frank (Chris) Baliling of San Diego; sister, Rosita Avenue of Pahala; stepmther, Elnora Gacutan of Las Vegas; stepsisters, Marisa (Jermaine) Serrano and Rosemary (Journey) Panis of Las Vegas; a brother-in-law and eight sisters-in law; 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and a great, great granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews. Matthew K. Machado, 34, of Hilo died Feb. 11 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. He was born in Hilo. Private family services. Survived by brothers, Marc (Tabbrie) Machado and Terry (Sheila) Machado of Hilo; sister, Paula (Herbert Leite) Rodrigues of Hilo; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Ichiyo Tarumoto Nishimoto, 98, of Papaikou died Feb. 2 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Onomea, she was a retiree from the former Mauna Kea Sugar Company and member of Hilo Meishoin, Honomu Henjoji Mission, Moirton Camp Kumiai, Kamana Senior Center and Waiakea Recreation Center. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by son, Dale (Yuko) Nishimoto; daughters, Noelle (Tim) Appelbe, Stephanie (Steve) Mitchell and Ann Nishimoto; sister, Miyoko Chun; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Arthur E. Palama, 78, of Hawi died Feb. 13 at home. Born on Kauai. He owned Palama Contracting and was a member of the Royal Order of Kamehameha. Services to be held on Kauai. David Foster Perrells, 58, of Mountain View died Feb. 13 at Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu A memorial service will be held on his birthday, Monday, Apr. 27, at Makaha Beach Park in Waianae, Oahu.
