Michiyo Go Echle, 79, of Kailua-Kona, died Feb. 17 at home. Born in Tokyo, she was a homemaker and ikebana and Chinese brush painting artist. Visitation 9-9:30 a.m. Friday, March 6, at St. Michael the Archangel Church. Mass at 9:30 a.m. Refreshments to follow. No flowers. Memorial donations to Hospice of Kona, P.O. Joseph Kaai Flores, 64, of Kailua-Kona died Feb. 3 at Hale Ho‘ola Hamakua. Born in Kealakekua, he was a macadamia nut and coffee farmer. Celebration of life noon Sunday (Feb. 23) at Kahaluu Beach Park large pavilion in Kailua-Kona. Casual attire. Survived by companion, Sue Andress of Kailua-Kona; son, Isaac (Imelda) Flores of Las Vegas; daughter, Naomi Flores and Maggie Flores of Kailua-Kona; 10 grandchildren; cousins. Woodson “Woody” Kidder Woods III, 88, of Waimea died Feb. 14 at home. Born in St. Louis, he was a businessman and owner of Royal Hawaiian Air Service, Mauna Kea Motors, Hawaii Trails, The Waimea Village Inn and Pohakea Ranch, pilot, sailor and U.S. Navy veteran during the Korean War. Memorial service 1 p.m. Sunday, March 1, at Davies Memorial Chapel on the Hawaii Preparatory Academy campus in Waimea. No flowers. Memorial donations to North Hawaii Hospice or the Woodson K. Woods IV Memorial Scholarship Fund at HPA. Survived by wife, Alison Montag Woods; sons, Chris and partner, Kate, of Los Angeles, Jeffrey and wife, Nanette, of San Diego, and Scott and wife, Annie, of Tiburon, Calif.; daughters, Margie of Los Angeles, Katie and wife, Silvia, of Waimea, Sarah and husband, Ben, of Carbondale, Colo.; stepson, Tyler Youngblood of Bogota, Colombia; stepdaughter, Emily Roberts and husband, Jon, of Waimea; brother, Randy and wife, Fiona, of St. Louis; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
