Rosalina Jose Domingo, 100, of Keaau died Feb. 13 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a retired field worker for Koi Tomato Farm in Mountain View. Visitation 6-7 p.m. Monday (Feb. 24) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation again 9-10 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 25) at Keaau Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire; burial at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima section. Survived by sons, Franklin (Violeta) Domingo and Rodrigo “Rudy” Domingo of Keaau; daughters, Nida Hendricks of Florida and Lolita (Rolly) Padasdao of Keaau; sister, Adelina Cudal of Philippines; sister in-law, Flordeliza Jose of Philippines; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews. Eugene Yukio Yamate, 87, of Hilo died Feb. 10 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Mountain View, he was a retired freight clerk for the former Air Flo Freight and a member of Upper Kaumana Kumiai. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by wife, Elsie Yamate of Hilo; daughter, Blythe (Timothy) McGinty of Gaithersburg, Md.; sister, Ann Matsumoto of Kona; sister-in-law, Hazel (Francis) Toyama of Hilo; a granddaughter; nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts. Zayden “Bubba” Mark Pascua Yaplag, 7, of Hilo died Jan. 21 at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu. Born in Honolulu, he was a student at Waiakeawaena Elementary School and member of Apostolic Faith Church in Hilo. Visitation 8:30-10 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 22) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima section. Casual attire.
