Lillian Nathaniel Kailipaka, 86, of Hilo died Jan. 5 at Legacy of Hilo. Born in Hilo, she was a retired bookkeeper for Central Supply Inc. and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 14) at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass at 10 a.m. Casual or aloha attire; flowers welcome. Burial at Homelani Memorial Park, section 5. Survived by daughters, Charmaine (Virgil) Day of Maui and Tammy Ann Ryan of Kailua-Kona; sister, Grace Rapoza of Hilo; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Mabel Aulike Kaipo, 91, of Naalehu died Dec. 27 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Ka‘u, she was a homemaker and member of Ka‘u Civic Club, Halau Na Kupuna O Ka‘u, Kauaha‘ao Congregational Church, Naalehu Senior Center, and volunteer at Naalehu Elementary School for arts and crafts. Burial service noon Sunday (Jan. 12) at Naalehu Community Cemetery. Casual attire; flowers welcome. No koden (monetary gifts).
