The Waiakea junior smashed two BIIF records Saturday at Kamehameha – one was her own, while the other had been around for a while.

In the 100-yard butterfly, Tengan touched in 57.07 seconds to break an 18-year-old mark held by Waiakea alum Nicole Okuna (57.86). In the 200 individual medley, Tengan lowered her league record, set in 2019, by almost 2 seconds, finishing in 2:05.53.
