Edward Costa, 92, of Kohala died Dec. 12 in Honokaa. Born in Kohala, he was a retired steward from the former Royal Waikoloan, Kohala macadamia nut and sugar worker and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Wake 6-8 p.m. Friday (Jan. 10) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi. Visitation 8-9:45 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the church. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial at Halawa Catholic Cemetery. Robert “Bobby” Brian DeMattos, 65, of Ookala and Kula, Maui, died Dec. 10 at home. Born in Honokaa, he was a member of Monarchy Motorcycle Club, Waihee, Maui, and worked at Maui Community Correctional Center.
