Mildred Hideko Kaneta, 93, of Paukaa died Dec. 16 at home. Born in Honokaa, she was a retired cook from the former Sky Chefs and the former Dick’s Coffee House and member of Papaikou Hongwanji Mission, Orchid Isle Dance Club, Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association and Big Island Ballroom Dance Club. Visitation 4-5 p.m. Friday (Jan. 3, 2020) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 5 p.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Kenneth “Kenn” Douglas Kemp, 70, of Pahoa died Dec. 20 at home. Born in Sacramento, Calif., He was a civil engineer for the city of West Linn, Ore. U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Private services. Sydney “Syd” Alexander Kraul Jr., 74, of Kailua-Kona died Dec. 23 at home.
