The Salvation Army’s Hilo Corps is seeking community members who want to help make a difference in someone’s life during the holiday season.

The organization is asking people to donate gifts for the final 100 tags that remain on the Angel Tree located at Prince Kuhio Plaza in Hilo.

Out of approximately 800 Angel Tree tags this year, just those 100 remain.

In addition, 300 tags that were pulled by donors still need to be turned in by the Saturday, Dec. 14, deadline.

“We are grateful to our donors and we encourage others in our community to come out to support Angel Tree and help us give smiles to keiki — and kupuna — in-need on Christmas morning,” said Lt. Danielle Bratton, Hilo Corps officer. “The best way for donors to help is to pull tags from the Angel Tree at Prince Kuhio mall and return them to that tree by our deadline this Saturday.”

Anyone interested in pulling one of the last remaining tags or who pulled a tag already and is not able to return them by the deadline can call the Hilo Corps at 935-1277 or email Danielle.bratton@usw.salvationarmy.org.
